H3G S.p.A. (3 Italy) and Telogic announced today that they have signed an agreement that allows Telogic to launch operations as Italys first Mobile Virtual Network Enabler and Aggregator on the 3 Italy UMTS network. Telogic will resell mobile traffic together with enabling services to brands that wish to enter the Italian market as MVNOs (Mobile Virtual Network Operators), ESPs (Enhanced Service Providers) or Air Time Resellers.

 

Per Erik Angman, CEO of the Telogic Group, believes that this cooperation will help to build a whole new market for MVNOs in Italy. "Telogic will use its experience and infrastructure to achieve economies of scale to lower the entry barrier for interested brands significantly. This is only possible with a host network operator like 3 Italy that is innovative in technology and business models and understands the potential that arises from this market diversification."

 

Telogic already started to establish operations in Italy and plans the commercial launch of the first tariff on 3's network in Winter 2011. The company already signed MVNO agreements with companies in Italy and also plans to launch with several existing customers of Telogic that look forward to expand their existing brands and proven concepts to the Italian market.
